Ive got a gt3571r it has plenty power when boosting 24 psi on c16 for track day and 10 psi with pump gas for a quick street car

i would ask 1revvin7, he seems to be our turbo guru and has a massive selection of parts to make hybrids

Fuel injected or Carb'd? A lot of sandrail guys runs carbs. I would highly suggest EFI, unless you are a carb guru. I usually suggest our P trim Gt35R for sandrail. Here is a link below of V1/V2 compressor mated to a 1.24 T4 P trim turbine wheel. You cannot even cruise and be below 5psi in this car, 20psi is in an instant, and its retarded fast. If it was swapped to the P trim Gt35R it would be up another 50rwhp. 540rwho is about the max on this turbo setup.

Mine is a stock 13B S5, Injected, Tec3 Computer.

The exhaust manifold is cracked. All the headers I have found have provision for external wastegate, so I might as well put a better turbo on.

Im not sure if I can use the stock turbo on the aftermarket headers, $$ is tight right now, what do you get for your recomended Turbo?

I think with the stock turbo I am around 7 PSI, and the car is really fast, some day I would like to get the motor rebuilt with a street port...

The guy that I bought the car from removed the intercooler, so I am going to install one while the motor is out.

Just went to your site... Your in AZ. NICE Im out in Tonopah (West of Buckeye), do you do dyno runs and tuning of Rotary's running Tec3's?

Is that an ebay turbo? GT35R(s) are all ball bearing, and oil and water cooled. Never available oil cooled only.

Turbine a/r is too small, and you should use a T4 footprint, not T3. However if you manifold is a T3, then you will have to run a T3 turbine housing. Stock turbo will not bolt to an aftermarket turbo manifold. We are a garrett dealer, I can set you up with a good turbo. What is your budget? We could put on an older To4E, they are generally $800...

And yes I do a lot of rotary tuning. Just give our shop a call...

Ya its an E-Bay Turbo.

$800 is more than I have right now, but do understand that you get what you pay for... so I may put everything back together and save for a turbo.

I the car was built with NO intercooler, the guy even took off the stock one... so Im investing in that right now, or I would bring the car down for the Garrett, but I dont see doing anything more without an intercooler...

My Exhaust Manifold is cracked and a friend is going to give me a T4 header... for a couple of hundered bucks. I was thinking about making an adapter for the stock HT18S-2S Turbo to get me buy.

With a Garrett I would have a Turbo for Life...
