Here is my opinion. You CAN NOT be a casual FD owner or you will end up selling it. You have to be hard core into FD's and it helps if you have/find some FD friends as well.....you'll eventually stop calling them friends and start refering to them as your support group lol

why the hell do you buy a FD then? i beat the **** out of my car, and love every second of it. For the money, there's no other car out there that can match it's performance. I wish I would have been more financially stable when I bought the FD, but things have worked out well for me. Owning this car has been an experience that I wouldn't trade for anything else.

knock on wood here - aside from a reman motor, my FD has been reliable, stable, driveable, comfortable, beautiful, and helpful (with gettin the ladies). All that makes for one hell of a vehicle for me!! Oh yeah, and get a second car. Also, I race the crap outta my FD. It's not happy below 6000 RPM.

Yes, it's worth it. The acceleration, braking, and handling are fabulous and confidence inspiring. I'm the second owner, have owned my car since Jan 96, have 117K miles on it, use it as a daily driver. I've considered replacing it with various Porsches, Jaguars, Corvettes, BMWs, 350Z, Audi TT but it just looks so damn good and is too much fun to drive. Have replaced the battery, muffler (Borla exhaust), cats, tires (once a year ritual), clutch, brakes, radiator (2 months ago) and an oil sending unit. I'm still startled when I come out of a store and find people admiring it.

I was making a point that it's goin to break down. Who doesnt race their FD. But if you dont i bet it wont ever break, well no where near as often.
