H2o Injection Question
#1
I picked up an Aquamist water injection system but have yet to install it. I was just thinking, since the water "steam cleans" the inside of the engine and keeps carbon buildup to a minimum would it also clean off the necessary oil for lubrication?

In theory yes, but I don't really think it would happen like that... It's a cool mist that just burns off super fast... It's not going to hurt anything. It's mixed with methonol too (Or I thought) so it should burn fast.

there's no Oil or Grease inside the combustion chamber.
There isnt enough water injected in a water injection set-up to clean off the oil though. Over time it will eventually clean the carbon deposits (My spark plugs stay so amazingly clean!) but the oil is constantly being replenished so you might say it is a losing battle for the water to "clean" the oil out of there.
