Good Motor Mounts?

from the oil pan?
is there any way like I could get 2 things done at once like replace the oil pan gasket and replace the mounts? i got a set coming in and i was wondering if there is anyplace under the car that i can use to lift the motor up a bit or should i get an engine hoist?

FD3Boost, how did you get a set already? Looks like they arent avail for annother month according to Gothams site. Anyway, they look like what I'm looking for: a rebuilt Urethane mount so I can take off that damn torque brace . Talk about rattling your teeth...I had to adjust my idle up just so I wouldnt go postal listening to the inner fender get beat to death while waiting at a stop light . And I dont think the mounts have anything to do with throttle response, more to minimize engine movement during up-shifts and down-shifts. My friend has a set of Urethane mounts in his car (dont recall the brand) and I could def tell a difference when donig some "spirited driving", and he said some of the harshness went away after about 1k miles.

We have our own brand that will be for sale soon. The design is different in that it has an additional urethane disk for the bottom of the mount under the subframe. Should be less harsh. The only thing is they are going to be made for group buys only. Check out www.gothamracing.com for more info.

Anyway theoretically any stiffing of the drive line componets will find its way to the pedal. Since the engine moves less the energy is not wasted and will transmit to the driveshaft and acceleration will happen sooner.
Sounds good to me..

I didnt say that Gotham made them..
You guys not getting laid or something?

i was just trying to clarify for danomite where they were from. from his post, it looked like he thought you got the ones that gotham will be offering in a month or so.
sorta implies that Gotham made them.
I installed the Gotham eurothene mounts this morning"

Ihor organized the group buy. Ihor works for Gotham so you see why..
The guys from rotorsports didnt have anygroup buy or I would have referred to them as rotorsport mounts..
Hope that gets everyone up to speed.

yea, I must have missed that group buy...but I think I'd rather have the additional piece on the bottom cause I think it would help. I'll have to keep my eyes open for a group buy on these.
