I hear ya man.. Just ****** bends me that nothing EVER broke until it sat for so long.. I've had plenty of 10, 12, and 20 year old cars that sit for years at a time and fire right up and NEVER have a problem. I put desiel fuel in my integra and it didn't even care. This POS oly has 60K miles on it.. Hell it's hardly broken in. Oh well. At least now I know why all the Supra guys laugh at me when I try to defend my car LMAO!!

A new slave is pretty cheep from malloy. I think it was like 60 bucks mabye? i forgett...

also.....if you can get the rod out through the bottom service hole and then pull the slave back off, you can save yourself alot of work, but you may have to feel around for a while, or grab one of those extenedable magnets and stick it in there and try and feel it around and you may snag that rod. Hate to bother, but do you have pics of what you describe? I've been learning this car as I go, and don't know everything about the clutch that well. I did pull the cover and took a peek, but don't really know what I'm looking for.

Man you have the worst luck with that car, i dont think i've ever seen worse luck. If it makes you feel any better i would have hypoteticaly ( i cant spell this ******* word ) speaking have taken a bottle of 151 put a rag in it rolled the car into my drive way set the rag on fire and droped it in the car, oops. Damn those little thugs !!!! call the insurance company !!!!

ok no pix but... on the slave cylinder is a rubber boot, sticking out of that boot is a metal rod that engages the clutch fork. If the bearing is not locked in, when you push down on the clutch the fork moves farter than it should, the piston comes out of the slave cylinder bore, and the rod falls out. the easiest thing to do is just unbolt the slave from the trans and pull it out. If the rod is gone, then it's in the bellhousing. If the rod is still attached to the boot, then pull the boot off. you should see the fluid pour out, indicating that the slave is bad.

HINT: If the rod came out, you can put the slave back together, and it should be fine.
