I recently changed to a 4.77 gear on my FD and was wondering if there was anything I could use to reconfigure my speedometer?

Does another (hopefully Mazda) car use a 4.77 stock? If so, it -might- be possible to change the speedometer drive gear.

I was just thinking of using some converter. Surely someone out there has done this!

MY mechanic has made the gear on the sending unit a different size, try that. Gear can be made of nylon stock.

Yes. Dakota Digital SIG 5. About 3 hours to install and configure. I put the car on jackstands with the original gear, colllected rpm and mph datapoints. After the new gear, adusted the SIG5 until the rpm and mph were the same.

I have heard a few different opinions

Some companies to most say you dont need to change it or the setting

Mazda sells the Sensor and the gear. I was selling the kit for $850 new
