the car is lightened and it weighs 2500 or so and with full exhaust, standalone, and m2 lower i/c piping he said that he is getting 10-11 mpg.

that sound crappy, he does have a race suspension and 11" wide tires if that makes a diff. 34k on odo, 10k on engine.

would this mean that the motor has something wrong with it?

well you said he cruises at 4k rpm......... that takes a terrible toll on gas milage, instead of goin 65mph at 5th gear he's doin it at 4th....... you'll get better milage if you cruise at a lower rpm

he said that it was bad for the car because the engine was not getting enough fuel.

it only needs to be crazy rich when its under load, when youre just cruising you're just wasting fuel
