hi everyone, gas gauge doesn't seem to work anymore, always reading empty. Its been a few months since its worked. I now go by my trip milage but its getting alittle old..... how would i go about reparing this myself? what should be my first steps?.... i'd rather do this myself than take it to someone if possible. thanks

take the fuel pump out. make sure you take the ground out off the battery. the pump is in the trunk under the carpet. take the pump out and make sure the float is still on the pump. my float came off and it wouldn't read anymore. but once the float was put back on it worked. good luck.
