I use the pennsoil and I like it. Car seems to idle nice and smooth after I started using it!

Being in Japan, I don't have the luxury of getting the good stuff. I guess I'll just have to add my pennzoil 2 stroke...

I used Valvoline in my convertible, and it ran very well. The motor is still good, but not in the car. B)

I was adding at least 1 oz. per gallon to my tank with no adverse effects. That was with 93 octane. Now that I'm in CA I can only get 91 at the pump. Don't bother with the octane booster.

Pettit told me the oil metering pump nozzle that injects the oil is the size of a pin and only coats a fraction of the Apex seal. It is a 2 stroke synthetic but the Protek-R burns clean. There are 2-stroke oils that specifically say "not recomended for oil injection".

Right. But we're not talking about using the protek R as engine oil, we're talking about dumping it into your fuel tank. Doing this would completely bypass the stock oil injection . :bigok:

Yes, no, huh? Wouldn't putting oil in the gas tank accomplish the same thing as the metering pump. Anyhow, I think my point was: If it's not recomended for the metering pump then I can only assume it's not recomended as a premix to lubricate the Apex seals...or why is not recomended for the metering pump?

2 Stroke oil is MEANT to be mixed with gasoline, not engine oil. Since engine oil has to go through the engine to keep thing lubricated and travel in VERY hot places, why would you want a more burnable oil mixed in with your engine oil?
