Pettit told me the oil metering pump nozzle that injects the oil is the size of a pin and only coats a fraction of the Apex seal. It is a 2 stroke synthetic but the Protek-R burns clean. There are 2-stroke oils that specifically say "not recomended for oil injection".

Yes, no, huh? Wouldn't putting oil in the gas tank accomplish the same thing as the metering pump. Anyhow, I think my point was: If it's not recomended for the metering pump then I can only assume it's not recomended as a premix to lubricate the Apex seals...or why is not recomended for the metering pump? :unsure:

2 Stroke oil is MEANT to be mixed with gasoline, not engine oil. Since engine oil has to go through the engine to keep thing lubricated and travel in VERY hot places, why would you want a more burnable oil mixed in with your engine oil?
