Thumbs up

I was wondering if any body else, who owns a 3rd gen 7, has this same problem and can help me out. When ever My fuel gauge reads slightly below half a tank and I try to excellerate hard, the car cuts out like its hitting fuel cut. I know the gauge is accurate and I know it isn't fuel cut. Any ideas? Any cures? Thanks.

wild *** guess, since as herblenny noted, you didn't give much info...but check your fuel tank, make sure the stock baffles are still in there. I've had similar problems trying to autocross on anything less than 3/4 of a tank. Hard cornering can cause fuel starvation.

I thaught i was specific enough considering I thaught it might be a common problem. Since it seems that I need to list the tiniest details then I guess I will. It is a 1994 Mazda RX7 Touring Model. Just recently had the engine built and a single turbo conversion. I am running an Apexi PFC, Greddy underdrive pulleys and 3" Apexi exhaust. Im still running stock suspension and wheels. I am also running a high flow fuel pump, 1600cc secondary injectors, upgraded fuel rail and a adjustable rising rate fuel pressure regulator. Stock interior here. If there is anything else you need to know just ask. Don't snap. Oh, by the way, this problem exsisted before I had the work done! Thanks.

Did you change the fuel filter?

Also you don't have to be smart *** about it either.. If you read what I was asking, you should understand that no one knows anything about your car... hence detail the info, better it is.

That seemed like a rude way of saying "please give more information about your car, so we can give better answers. Check out our forum rules as well." So mcuh for a warm welcome haha. Anyways, it doesn't sound like your problem is related to side to side fuel sloshing. You might want to check your fuel filter. If the problem is sloshing of the fuel, u might want to get some foam inserts for your tank. I am rebuilding my fd right now as well; you definately need to be careful, b/c fuel cut out or loss of fuel pressure could mean air in the fuel lines. Air in the fuel lines usually means damage to the engine (especially under boost). If you are running higher hp numbers you might want to think about getting a surge tank as well.
