So in my maddness of removing a bunch of stuff for my non-seq set up, I ditched the solenoid for the FPR... I know the car will run without it (already figured that out) but if its running off of manifold vaccuum does it need a check valve so it only has vaccuum and not boost, or is it ok to run boost to the FPR?

The reason I ask is that I've had the car running for a couple of days now and I'm trying to solve a bad stuttering issue (maybe fuel starvation?) I adjusted the TPS and its fine and I got a brand new O2 sensor so I'm ruling those out as the culprits... the car idles fine accels fine but when I'm trying to cruise in traffic it sometimes bucks wildly, goes away if I accel or decel and at first I thought it was a "dead" spot in the TPS but my tests this morning have disspelled that accusation....

So now I'm left with my vaccuum line routing. I put a check valve in the line for the FPR so it only had vaccuum pulling on it, (thus reducing fuel pressure in the rail at idle/vac) but I'm thinking maybe I should take it out because the transition between vac and boost is leaving the fuel rail a little starved? Is the throttle body a bad place to have the line connect to? Should I move it to another vac source further down the line (like the UIM instead)?

Sorry I know its a lot to answer, I've had many a 1st and 2nd gen's and never really had these problems after doing these mods, but alas I do realize that the 3rd gens are a little more sensitive. Any help would be great - thanks.

Oh nevermind, it turns out that the wire from the thermoswitch on the back side of the water pump housing got yanked off....luckily I hadn't driven far enough to overheat it! Wire repaired, fans turn on, 7 is happy again
