First Start
#1
Ok with all the mods I have do I need to warm my FD up any special way when I first start it for the day? Ive read to let it idle untill normal operating temp is reached or to start it and peak the throttle then turn it off wait a minute for the oil to seep in then restart and drive lightly untill normal operating temp is reached? Is this all bull crap or what?

I have always heard that you should start the car, if the idle jumps up to around 3k then tap the gas to bring it back down and let it warm up completely before driving it. I am not sure about a modded car, though I would think the same rules apply if not more so.

ahahah ok well everyone says something different, I just want to make sure my engine will last and little things like starting correctly are important to me. It always idle at like 2k for like 5 minutes in neutral then it drops down to 1k and the temp guage shows normal.

Let it idle for 30seconds. Then start going wherever it is you have to go. Just stay out of boost until it is fully warmed up.

I always start the car in gear, and immediatly start driving it, not revving past 3k and no boost till fully warmed up, i run a PFC though, so i dont' have the AWS anymore, mine just idles at 800 from the start.
