RotaryVillain consider your deleted posts a warning. If you want to post about the topic feel free. If you want to start a pissing match you came to the wrong place.

ok, yeah i WAS posting abou tthe topic, and simply answering HERBLENNY's comments in regards to my car, (which by the way yoU DID leave posted) last time i checked i was the only one what ACTUALLY HAS these mirrors on this thread so i'm probably the only one who actually knows anything about them but since you wanna delete my posts since your obviously friends with herblenny and you guys like to silence dissenting opionions and critisicm (rx7club anyone?)

lol

this will probably be deleted. you guys really need to stop catchin feelins and learning to accept actual facts instead of deleting everyones post just cuz you dont like what they have to say.

so Ill stick to the facts:

1. Fender mirrors help with sight issues there are no issues with them like herblenny said (how would he know anyways, he doesnt have them!)

2. Mazdaspeed did not become an official part of mazda until late 90's ,at the time of design & release Mazdaspeed was not part of mazda, it was a small aftermarket tuning co. like everyone else, therefore yes i consider the 15th ae kit aftermarket, keeping in mind it was never available from the dealer installed

3. in Japan a "99 spec" car is jsut another stock fd , no big deal, .-not like here where everyone has a "j spec" fascination, you couldve bought the car from the deal with the 99 spec bumper installed, you couldnlt with the entire 15th ae kit installed

Jesus! How old are you?? You get all bent out of shape because most of us don't like the damn fender mirrors??? If you like it so much, let it be! I initially answered the question that was asked.... and I believe question was NOT asked by you!

You were the one instigated and made it into personal issue. I personally don't give a **** what you think of my car, my future cars, or trying to act like your car is so special and have to take pictures of your car with a newspaper.. Classic!! And unlike what you think... I was one of handful of people back in 2000-01 to get these bumpers... And unlike some people, I went all out to get these bumpers... Paid 5x more than some cheap knock off fiberglass bumpers. OEM or not, 99s were never available in US.

Also, when you go fender mirrors, you need to consider the holes you'll leave on the door from old mirrors...

actually i was just joking with you in my first post , it is YOU who decided to make some ignorant comments regarding things you know NOTHING about, IE. AFTERMARKET PARTs, MY CAR, and FENDER MIRRORS which you know NOTHING about either.0 I have personally installed fender mirrors(on fd),widebody kits and headlight kits on both fd's and fc's so i actually have an INFORMED OPINION, unlike YOU who like to make statements which you can't back up with knowledge and other facts which are simply untrue. (like...fender mirrors have problem too?@, right, how would YOU know, you dont have em, )

*so basically you want me to give you "props" for paying 5x more for a 99 spec bumper that has the ugly license plate holder JUST BECAUSE "ITS OEM" gtfoh.

you obviously didnt read the thread if you did you would know that the reason a newpspaer in it is becuase people like YOU are haters and disbelieve the truth even when its staring you right in the face.-funny you forum guys call b.s. on everything....and act like you KNOW about everything.

I KNOW about fender mirrors because i have them.

and like i said last time i checked i was the only one here who has them thereforce YOU are not in the postition to discuss with me the pitfalls vs. stock mirrors becuase YOU DONT KNOW!

get over it and

and get some education on the subject.0

In regards to the hole left in the door from the stock mirror,

you weld in a steel plate, smooth it over with filler, and repaint, no problem

i'm using the re amemiya AD pro mirrors the same on the re amemiya website you were looking at obviously

i have to disagree with your characterization as them looking like 1st gen mirrors, other than the placement, the 1st gen mirrors are very angular and boxy to go with the angular lines on the 1st gen the RE AMEMIYA pro mirror is basically a round eggshape as you can see

i could post a pic side by side (fd mirror and 1g if you like) if you dont have your own 1st gen to look at

i got mine a few years back from a guy in Japan who doesnt sell parts much anymore though if youre having a hard time i may be able to dig up his email address for you

my best guess if you want some is to contact japanparts or perhaps corksport

rotaryextreme and rxsecret7.com used to be the best sources for RE AMEMIYA products in the usa unfortunately the Rotarextreme online stored is presently closed and rxsecret7.com is also closed but like i said CORKSPORT may be able to help i talked to people there about some rare jdm parts before and YOU WILL HAVE to wait a while but im sure they can get em for ya

ill take some new pics of my fd and email em to ya. sorry its taken so long its been bad weather out and i lost my old pics i took.

This is a very entertaining thread and for my opinon I don't like them either, they may function better but so would a better rear view, as in the ones racers use when they don't have side mirrors, but fender mirrors look funny IMO.
