I posted this on the west coast section , but no replied. So I was wondering how many Cali, FD owners have a single turbo set-up and what turbo are you guys using.

would a to4r be a good set-up and would it pass smog?

Maybe with a Catback and the air pump. I am still sequential but live in SD. I know Loi from sportcar motion has a T04R and his is registered. I am sure you can find someone to hook you up for smog.

You cannot pass SMOG with any single turbo setup, even if it allows you to retain the air pump. But that doesn't mean you can't run a single in CA, it just means you can't pass SMOG with it.

Glad I don't have to put up with that BS!! 94 octane everywhere, and emissions is the easiests thing ever to pass. But then again I live in PA...... ugh....
