yeah but the FDs power band is wider. the s2k gets power at high rpms, but the fd gets power when you start boosting, then goes til redline.
the s2k has little mod power potential short of an sc anyway. You cant just do exhaust and intake to get some power. but it is more reliable.

Torque is not that big of an issue in these light cars, where tracktion with low end torque becomes a problem. V8 converted Rx-7 have this problem and to a certain degree 20b's. Also if check out the dyno section you will see most modded Rx-7 are make lots of torque.
On topic if you have to ask you should go with the S2000. Leave the Rx-7's for those who have passion for them.

The only thing that's kept me from putting a remote throttle servo on my FD and seeing how fast she'll fly across the desert minus one driver is the fact that I know no other car will make me so happy when she works right.
