[attachment=32795:attachment][attachment=32796:attachment]Im looking for the car that is most fun to drive and thats the fastest because im buying a new car, so i narrowed it down to these two, the 3rd gen RX-7 or the Honda S2000. I have been camparing spec's, reviews from magazines and people them selfs but i need to see if people can make me stay rotary.

s2000s are fun little cars, i dont like the fact you need to dump the clutch at a rather high rpm to get any "off the line" speed, but hey whatever. plus the new ones do have bigger motors, but 1k rpm lower redline then the originals.

my g/f's dad has an 01 s2k in yellow, got like 8-9k miles on it, i got to drive it a few times. It is definitely fun, a little cramped for me tho, but im 6'6".

yea that is true about the warrenty.. but the s2000's have extremely weak rear ends and the dealers LOVE to call abuse on the car and not warrenty the rear. A local guy around here has one and his rear went in like 25k from normal track driving.

Tough choice. The S2000s are a lot of fun, and they have decent power stock. The warranty and lack of headaches makes the S2000 a smart choice. But you just can't beat the exclusivity of an FD anywhere near this price range. If you plan to daily drive the car I would go S2000 if it is a fun/weekend car go FD.

Im going to the Navy in September so after boot camp im going to get the car. I need something to relax and get my mind off of everything and my parents are moving to Florida so the convertable on the S2000 is a plus. I don't have time for guessing games when something goes wrong with the RX-7 because vacation is short. That advatar you have FikseRxSeven is the video where the drift king compares the FD S15 silvia and the the S2000, and the he said the the RX-7 and the S2000 had equal driving pleasure. I love that j-spec blue you have on ur 7.

Comptech has a braced diff cover which may help. The ring and pinion in the S2k diff is interchangable with the 1st gen RX7 and miata though.

S2k's are really fun cars, and Im just partial to droptops. But Im a little cramped inside. Im only 6', but I have pretty long legs, and thats where the car is lacking.
