Fd Guys Running External Fuel Pumps

Anyone here running an external pump without sumping the tank?
Nhra rules dicate you cannot modify the stock tank, and plus the FC has a sumped tank stock. So I was thinking of modifing the stock fuel pump assmebly by attaching an An- bung on top then maybe just a big pipe that ran down to the sump. Anyone want to tell me how they have theirs setup?

I think I'll just do a dual Walboro for starters.. There is quite a few people running them. Just gotta get to the parts store so I can start fabbing...
Justin, is that a "yes" for wiring the pumps together? I can't really see why you couldn't... Unless the current draw is too much for the gauge of wire...

Supra pumps each draw 12 amps at 40 psi. That's too much for the stock circuit with 2 of them.
Quick and dirty way would be to have a 40 amp fuse and relay run directly from the battery and use the stock fuel pump wires turn on that relay.

How can I make sure the walrbo that a walrbo is a 255lpg high pressure unit?? I've heard of the ebay ones being a lower pressure unit... I don't want to get myself into 9base3's situation..

I think my 40 amp came from an NX kit, but I used that for my fans.
I actually have 2 20 amp relays. One is the standard that came with my Haltech, the other is an auto parts store special being controlled by the auxillary pump output on the Haltech.
I've improved my pump design greatly in my head, but I refuse to spend any more money there unless I absolutely have to.
Or if at least 5 people wanted the most PIMP fuel pump setup ever!!
