i was told the following:

The center hole in the US spec. rotors measures 2.640" while the JDM (and therefore European models) measure 2.837"

can anyone clarify this?

Just a guess, but I'll bet if there is a difference, it's more probably related to the later years (after 1995) than whether it is US spec or JDM/EURPEAN.
