It all depends upon the seller. I've seen stock shortblock's sell for $800~ ...but blown ported shortblock's go for $1000~

i found a block that is street ported and with a 5sp tranny for $305 now..its an auction. the car has the wiring and everything. my point for this is if i can get the money soon for an engine or the parts to make the car actually run soon i can get it. if the car is still for sale. my mom does not want a "junkyard" in her driveway. because my brother is soon going to be ripping apart his supra. so i need to find an engine cheap or parts that eqal an engine cheap. so if any1 can help i wud appriciate it MUCH

Really depends how bad the motor is blown. If you just needed seals, then you're looking at about $500 to rebuild a motor. If the rotors are damaged, add $500 each for new rotors, about $250 per iron housing if damaged, etc etc. It can add up real fast. In most cases the cheepest route is to buy a mazda reman.
