Good idea about the lock tite. I had a friend that had that happent to his DP in his SR20DET. It was a pain to fix on his so I am sure it is worse for us. Thanks

I will let u guys know how the install goes. But first i have to so the silicone hose job. This could take forever.

remove the heat shield protecting the ABS unit, that will give you more room to stick your hands in there.

obviously try and get the 2 top bolts from the top of the car, and the 2 bottom bolts from under the car.

Took me over 4 hours to install, but if I had to do it again, ~1 hour. I had to replace two or three of my studs with Grade 8 hex-cap bolts, modified with special sleeves to make them fit the flanges.

Some downpipes have the pipe welded really close (and sometimes flush with) the mounting holes in the flange. If this is the case, you will be trying to figure out a similar thing that I did. You will need to have the bolt head (or stud nut) diameter of clearance on the flange, so that the bolt lays flat against the flange. Many DP's are too thin to grind away the weld, so your best bet is to figure out a way to reduce the bolt head size. I used some aluminum sleeves around a longer bolt to lift the bolt head off the flange to provide clearance for the head.

confused yet?

sinful has a good option or if you are lucky you can find a set of import header bolts which have small heads on them if you screw one up. pb blaster is your best friend
