I am pulling motor, everything isremoved but the ecu and motor mounts and do not want to touch until I get some ingo on how to disconnect the stock ecu. Do I just pull the harness through the firewall or are there other ways.

Any advice would help

thanx

you can either unplug the harness from the ecu and pull it out of the firewall, or you can uplug everything at the engine and leave the harness in the car

I think the first is easier. Just unplug the ECU, unbolt the little wire elbow thingy, and push/pull the harness through.

Thanks guys for the info.

I had an idea how to do it but wasn't exactly sure.

I guess I will just unplug ecu and pull through firewall.

But wouldn't be a bitch putting back in??? Oh well I will let you guys know how it goes tomorrow.

FD3boost do I completely remove the ABS?

You don't have to. I took off the heat shield and removed a couple bolts, just enough to move it a bit. Definetly easier to pull the wiring harness with the motor.

Once you get the hang of it you can get the harness in and out without moving anything.. Ask me how I know LMAO

I am sorry I was making humor since I have no ABS. If you have abs its no biggie you can still get it out. Its just easier on my car is all.
