Does anyone know if there are any differences between the different series gearboxes, for example if i blew up my s7 or s8 box can i replace it with a s6 one or vice versa, i know they are all the same but as far as the cables on them are concerned are they interchangable?

Are you talking auto or manual? Manuals are interchangeable. I have a 97 trans in my 93 fd
