That damn clunking noise in my '93's rear end is bugging the hell out of me. Any words on where I should start replacing bushings, and who's got the best price? Thanks. I appreciate the help.

Try your local tunner. PFS is good if you are close to Virginia.

You sure it's in the rear end and not a tranny mount?

I double checked my records and this is what the TSB outlines.

Noise from steering or suspension.

The steering or suspension makes a clunking sound at low speeds or when the wheel is turned lock to lock.

There are three service bulletins which address this problem:

Service bulletin#00493 Cat. R, Issued 5/19/93 , revised 9/22/93

Replace upper A-arm bushings with part #FD0134480A. (2 bushings per side)

Service bulletin#002/93 Category B, issued 2/26/93

Applies to vehicles with a VIN of JM1FD3***P0207061 or lower produced through May 31, 1992.

Replace engine mount with modified part#FD01 39 040C.

Although the partt has been modified, the part is the same as the original.

Clearance increased between mount and mount housing.

Service bulletin #00293 Category N, issued 10/21/93

Replace steering rack boots with modified parts.

Left side : part # FD0132125A

Right side : part # FD0232125A

I understand that this does not pertain to your situation but I just wanted you to see what the TSB states.

Man, i get that clunking noise from the rear for over 3 months now. I can't figure it out what's it causing to clunk and ****. Here are my sympthoms. Every time the car warms up a little bit, i get werid clunking noise from right rear wheel.

This is what i have done so far with no help. I have changed right rear wheel bearing, I have changed my m2 toe links to better rod ends and i have changed some of the busshings. I honestly don't know what else to do. It's a mistery clunking noise

Right rear eh.. go back and grab your exaust tip and shake it... see if maybe your exaust is hitting somthing like the diff or rear sub frame...

also when does it happen?? acceleration, over bumps, engine braking etc.. it would help alot to know when it's happening... :bigok:
