Conversion?
#11
If you fly me out to hawaii, I'll help you with the conversion.. LOL!
Well, Nothings really hard.... Just takes time. IF you want to do the conversion right, you have to replace quite a few things (as I listed above). If you look at the list, you'll be dropping engine, tranny, rip off all the rats nest, re-wiring, adding clutch, clutch accessories, etc etc..
The point Me and some of the Veteran FD owners are trying to say to you is:
1. How much is your time worth.
2. What is the purpose and reason for the swap - If you want to learn and want to challenge your self, I say go for it! If you want to track it and think its only way to make power is to go manual, Go do some more searching.. there are people making just as much power with auto and apprently you could use PFC with auto FDs.
To me, my time is worth more than wasting time doing the swap. Also, there is no point of doing the stock to stock swap. If I go that far as to drop the engine and so forth, Its almost better to go all out and build the engine and such.. You know what, if you could do the swap and think its easy, building an engine should be also fairly simple..
If there is no available MANUAL FDs in Hawaii, you could always go to CA and pick one up and ship it back. Also there is a guy who owns a shop in Hawaii.. Not sure, but I've talked to him couple of years ago..
