I was wondering yesterday if poor electrical connection between parts of the frame might contribute to the 3k hesistation / grounding issue. Since the hesistation comes as the car ages, I wonder if a joint in the frame gets contaminated or increases resistance for the path to common ground.

Anyone ever tried measuring the resistance across parts of the car frame or otherwise tested the ground 'plane' of their car?

I had the extremely annoying 3K hesitation. Tried all the usual things- checked tension on alternator belt, new grounding straps between motor and body etc.

In the end it disappeared when I put a Microtech computer on the car...
