Grounding Engine
#3
If you want to do a really good job grounding, then run a heavy gauge wire from the UIM to the firewall, a light gauge wire from an exhaust bolt to the body, a heavy gauge wire from the negative battery terminal to the strut tower, and a neavy gauge wire from the negative battery terminal to the engine. I also run a heavy gauge wire from the positive battery terminal to the alternator to help it charge better.

Is this grounding recommended. Mazda didn't do a good job grounding?
Mine are stock, with 64K on the clock and no problems... Prolly couldn't hurt though!

Go to Autozone or whatever similar store you got and you can get the 4 guage ground strap that will replace the one from the Intake manifold to the firewall. Like P'cola stated. The other is the one fomr the negative battery terminal to any solid ground you want. If you call Pettit racing they will send you a free upgraded ground strap kit.
They are not gonna eliminate the 3k hesitation. They only thing that will certainly get rid of it is get a copletly different ECU. The rest is only speculation.
