Hey everybody! Thanks for all the responses, keep em coming!! =D I thought I'd mention quickly that this car will be, in addition to my daily ride(when I'm not on the bike), for autocross and mountain racing, hence my interest in the car's balance and power to weight ratio. Lots of responses suggest FCs, I would totally love one! But FC Turbo's are so hard to come across. Does anybody have any idea how many were sold in the US during the 90, 91, and 92 calender years? I would probably end up prefering one, but only if I could find a Turbo II in good shape with low mileage(can you say rare?). If anybody knows of good places to look for Turbo'd FCs, please post! Insurance costs aren't a problem(thanks pops!), but I am curious to know about how much everybody sinks into their car annually? Not on mods, but on routine maintenance, engine SNAFUs, etc. Again, thanks for all the advice, you guys are absolutely great!

you can try the parts trader in cars for section in Mazda Rotary.

About engine and maintenance. I have had REALLY good luck with my car, then again its a N/A FC. Ive had it for 2 years, and the only money i have put in it has been a new Tranny (i got for $150) Differential mount, Motor mounts, new clutch and a check up of the compression and everything when i first bought it. Other than that, Aboslutely nothing other than the RB headers (got for free ), rest of the exhaust(custom 2.5'' piping and the N1), Bonez intake, and the electric fan. Ohh and i jsut finished paintin it White with a blue-pearl clear coat.

Like I said, I've only owned mine one year, but have put in maybe $100 worth of maintenance? (Diff oil, tranny oil, 2 oil changes, new coolant, fuel filter.) I believe I am one of the lucky ones tho... Course I also don't daily drive my car, and have put a total of 3-4k miles on it, so take that for what it's worth.

if possible get one with a warranty then you should be mostly set as far as repairs go and if you don't put too many mods on it
