Yeah, there's a local strip out by Fort Hood. I would get there when they opened and were pretty dead, and could get about 15 passes in in one night.

My best is a 12.7 at 117. This was before the BNRs. It's a ******* shitty track, too......guys would alternate between Ennis and the local track and consistently cut half a second (!) off of their times. I need to get out to Ennis someday......

people that say that you cant reliable drag an fd are high. i had 100+ passes on mine too, and many of them were even w/out boost control, but not telling neone to go out and do that.....

i made 15+ passes in one night alone and just before the last one was the night that i got into the 12's........so go figure.....

and, supra's do not handle like rx7's by even a long shot. BUT there is always an exception to the rule...........as rich stated....

the rx7 just feels better....to me

In case anyone forgot. Rikkis old rx-7 ran 11.7.

It was a ported engine on stock twins set up non sequentail.

It was his daily driven car. He drove it in DC traffic everyday from Maryland over to his work (PFS) in Manassas Va.

He never broke down on the 11 second engine either.

That only proves to me that its all in parts and tunning.

So I simply answer your question.

Yes you can build a reilable 11 sec RX7, and I want to add that you dont necessarily need anything other than stock turbos to do it.

There was a guy at rotorfest that was claiming 400 on stock engine and turbos.

Did anyone ever confirm that?

That must me

Car did dyno 402rwh and 356/ 36xrwt on stock motor and twins (~50k miles)

With same setup it ran 11.56/11.59 @ 120.x and 122.12mph on Nittos drags.

Motor is now ported (~6k miles) and has gone 11.1 @ 122.9 on ET streets.

The stock twins finally let go so I slapped on another set to complete the mission (10.999999999999....hehe).

I might dyno the car soon .....

It is my daily driver and racer !!!!
