Braided Vacuum Lines?

My question is...would it be a good idea to use steel braided vacuum hoses instead of silicone and such. I have heard that they use a stronger rubber that is also nylon wrapped then steel braided. Any suggestions. I am currently running stock sequential twins...but thinking about going non-seq if I do this since it would be a f*ing hard *** job for sequential.

Thanks,

Sean

I think that is overkill. It CAN be done I'd imagine, but I don't see any real benefits.

I'm using braided for my wastegate lines... but that's just because I had extra, and it's ULTRA hot down there.

Very expensive.

No good way to attach them to the factory solenoids and manifold nipples anyway.

I think I am going to do it...I was going to spend $118 on the silicone hose kit anyways. now for attachment...I was thinking I could get fittings...small enough to self-tap themselves onto any metal nipples and I suppose I could do it for the plastic ones as well...plus use teflon tape or whatever to ensure a good seal.

And of course, like Tyson said...it would be ultrapimp.

Are you going to do an entire hose job in braided lines?

yup...I am going to attempt it anyways...I may go non-sequential just to save myself the trouble of doing the rats nest.

don't bother doing the rats nest. I doubt you'll be able to bend -4 steel braided line well enough. Just go non-sequential!

Dood if you put fittings on every hose you're looking at $1000, easy.
