It all depends on how badly you blow your engine. If you break the engine so badly that is siezes it could cause your rear tires to lock up since with a manual transmission you have a nice direct connection from the engine to rear wheels. A stopped engine will stop the wheels. Pushing in the clutch would fix this but it's hard to think of these things in a panic situation if you're not trained.

It's also possible that something else blew... like the tranny or rear end.

with that much power he must of had a roll cage in his car, it is NHRA regulations. anything 12.99 and under requires a roll bar 10.99 under requires full cage i believe, or something like that. i might be wrong on the #'s, but regardless with that much power he was in the 10's at least. must have just been his time.

It does make you think, it makes you think that anything can happen to any of us. I had a buddy die in a car accident about two months ago last weekend, and it was horrifying to me, scared me to death, but it did something else too.

It made me think of how much he loved my car, it made me think of how much he wanted one himself, and honestly, I don't think he'd want me to stop doing what I do (I like to carve up the socal mountain's when I get gas/time). He was a good friend and while I may not have known S7, I think we can all relate to how much he loved his car, I don't think his last few moments were filled with regret, if he could think. No, I think he was serene to tell you the truth, I know that if I died in a car accident going that fast, it's how I want to go out.

RIP S7, and Donte too, much love to whatever rotary heaven you may believe in.

I have a love for these car that is just strange. I feel so comfortable and safe. Nobody else understood until my Prom date drove my car.

After my wreck I said I was going to buy a honda or something like that. But it just isn't me. So I worked hard to get another one. And it takes time to be able to get the feeling of comfort back but its slowly coming to me. I love my car. I love working on it. And I love talking to others about.

I have been thinking alot about s7 and it made me realize how lucky I was. He got out of hand with his car. I have been picturing it in my mind and with that power he probably got close to the trap speed that his car was cappable of and that was how fast he was going on impact. He would have had to hit the wall going at least 100mph. My accident was at 40mph and that scared the hell out of me. Also made me mature into thinking I am not Invincible.
