Brand new wiring harness.
There is noting worse or more frustrating than plugging an old, brittle, taped and mangled wiring harness into a new motor.

it was acting funny, droped a bit on vac and had a weird ch ch ch ch ch ch ch noise on each rpm
Yea but that could be almost any of the seals. It could just as easily be a side seal. Is it a ported motor?

Bone stock rebuild from peter farrell with 10k on it. I didn't have the motor from 0 miles so who knows if the previous owner broke it in properly. Compression was good when I got it but its possible one of the seals didn't set right. This time im doing everything myself especially the 2k mile break in on the motor. The motor is not ported but will be after this build.

That doesn't sound right. 99% of a break in has nothing to do with the seals....just the 4 bearings in the motor. Whenever you do a full rebuild, it is to make sure the bearings break in properly, not the seals.

Yea sure, but what happens if you just start romping the motor right off the bat. Those seals wont set the same as they would with a proper break in, right? your the RX-7 so correct me if im wrong
also should I port or not

Wow, this reminds me of a thread about DSMs and and a guy was talking about proper maintenance and... well, nevermind.
How do you know its the apex? What was the pressures for each chamber.
My car is maintained perfectly, everything done exactly how the manual states, oil changed 2k miles, spark plugs 5k miles. If you don't have something to say pertaining to the subject at hand, stfu. Go back to gen d if you want to talk sh*t.
