Driving to work this morning, im listening to the radio, parking lights are on, so is the rear defog and the airbag light is blinking. just like every other morning drive to work. about half way to work the abs and charge light along with the warning lights for temp and oil press light up. check out the commander all looks good, cept for battvolt its reading 11 by the time i make it to work its reading 10. belt is still attached and i noticed that the positive cable wing nut is slightly loose. i retightened it but the lights didnt go off.

i think its the alternator to me...

and your car is drawing the power from the battery, thats why you're losing voltage

do a simple test. have the car runing. turn your dome light on, turn the car off. look at the dome light and see if there is any diffrence in briteness. if there is no diffrence then you know your alt. is shot and not charging.

goto mazdacomp. it's 150? I can't remember how much i paid. But i had to eat the core charge of 50 bucks since I didn't have a FD alt to send back. It's rebuilt by mitsubishi USA for Mazda with 3 year warranty I think.
