I need confirmation on this before I end up pulling the turbos again. Im getting random smoking, . It looks to be a dark white / grey. the wierd thing is it doesn't smoke right at start up but maybe a a minute or 2 after. Then the smoke goes away after a minute or with a little driving. The smoke also reoccurs at idle sometimes. no smoke can be seen while boost or when letting off the throttle from a high rpm.. Can it be too much premix, I've used the redline 2 stroke recently. Or bad oil injectors? or do i have to pull the dam turbos again... (no matter how many times i've pulled them they are still a bitch to remove)

I have a reman with less than 5k on it, my previous engine went because of a bad oil seal so the reoccurance of smoke is kinda pissing me off.. I;m pretty sure its oil smoke because the smell isn't sweet, smells like burning oil. the pipes going to the engine look pretty clean, no oil build up, and the exhaust side seemed pretty clean too. The compression on the engine seems alright with a constant 110 psi on both front and rear housings. I also have a pfc with the base map... trying to fix everything before getting the thing tuned.

Sounds like a probable turbo oil gasket to me.

several things to try before you yank them back off.

1- remove your oil filler cap and do everything the same as you normally do when you get smoke. does it smoke?

2- when you get smoke....gently press the gas pedal to make the car idle up to about 2,000 rpm. does the smoke go away?

3- pull the DP to MP connection... do you have thick black oily residue in there?

4- pull the Dp completely off... do you have above mentioned residue in manifold to DP connection?

5- look at the turbos from underneath the car... do you have any oil staining at the multiple connections in the turbo manifolds?

Let us know which of these symptoms you find.
