i have the apex super avc type r boost controller. my question is this. shortly after i installed the unit, and adjusted it for my car using the adjusted duty capabilities of it, i noticed that ONLY when boost is reached and all the way through boost there is a clicling noise from the passenger side underhood area. i think that it is related to the solenoid itself, but am unsure...i never noticed it on my black FD, but i had abs on it, and the underhood area was much more cluttered.....

can anyone offer some input? p'cola, you have an avcr right?

thanks,

louis

make sure the wiring harness boot is completely sealed in the firewall. i had somebody bring me one like that and it wasn't plugged up.

well, the unit is working impeccably. everything is just as it should be. boost holds, rises, and lowers just as i have programmed it. even when i am tinkreing with it, and adjusting the boost/duty cycles, if it overshoots, i can correct it in a push of a button......

Yeah, the clicking is normal, although I have never heard it. I have my solenoid mounted on the frame all the way up by the air filters. Where I have it, I have yet to hear the solenoid duty clycling.
