It's an ongoing argument, the theory being bigger seals are stronger, whether or not they are is the argument. If it were me I would prolly go with the 2mm , wut kind of boost you running?

What I am curious about is the extra seal surface with a stock metering system, does the seal suface get enough lubrication when changing to 3mm seals, could it lead to premature wear on the rotor housings?

from what i know a 3mm seal is only for detination , a 3mm seal will take more ping then a 2mm. however a very good 2mm seal will hold upwords of 45psi. the set i got from alex blackson racing in auzzie land has been tested and has not had any failure at a constant 45psi with a stock 2 piece spring. and as for the 3mm seal there a lil heavier and also causes more friction. you be the judge.

any real detonation will kill a 3mm seal too, plus the 3mm seals dont seal as well, and have more friction, take more oil etc etc

oh and btw 22psi and pump gas will kill whatever seal is in there.

I like the mazda 2mm seal. Best compression and are very strong. Any detonation that will cause failure in a 2mm seal will kill a 3mm seal too.

damn...i was late on this one. 22 psi on pump?....it's not a DSM damn it....... 15-16 psi on pump is all i'd risk personally, and like they said... whatever will kill a 2mm... will kill a 3mm.
