Ah! Stock Air Box Help!

Ok, so at work today i pre smoged my FD. passed great!!! My boss askes wheres that go to......I really have no idea, I cant find it on All Data, Michell on demand nothing! help please i feel like an idiot!
Its the open one on the side of the box near the intercooler.
Not air pump, case vintalation?

If I'm not mistaken, that's just a ventilation hose that wraps back under the air box. At the end of the hose, there is a sponge filter.
