this car is right near where i live, i currently have a 2nd gen turbo II, I was looking to buy this car. but i'm wondering some people's opinions since the engine has just been rebuilt. i'll be using the car mainly just to go to work, and ocasionally cross florida (2 hour drive). How good/smart would it be for me to get this, i'm concerned with reliablity. any response would be great.

That car is not gonne be a cheap daily driver.

I would get a bone stock Fd and not a street ported single turbo if your looking for reliability.

If you want fast and possible frequent trips to the tunning shop then buy that car.

What types of problems might I encounter with a car like that?

i agree with fd3boost......... a bone stock fd is not very reliable as it is......... so a highly modified one will cost you some time and money.

but then again......... its all worth it

I couldnt say what problems you may get into. But a moddifed single turbo car is gonna be more problematic than a car with no modifications.

this all is obvious, but what is your definition of "problems" please be more specific, lower gas milage and more frequent oil changes is not an issue. big problems such as blown engines is. please be more specific on how severe these cost and problems are.

As long as that power fc is tuned right and the boost isn't sky rocketed... it'd be a hell of a car.

Although I wouldn't say it's going to be lower gas mileage... I would say it's going to be LOW gas mileage.

what would "sky rocketed boost" be? cause in my FC i run like 17 psi, so? thats what i mean by lower gas mileage, lower than what i get now. which is about 10 mpg, so it can't get much worse.

I just don't want to buy it and then be out of a car all the time.
