I understand the need for help, your AA analogy, and with that, any questions in this third gen section that I (we) can help we'll gladly do...

You got some help but I'm just casting in some insight as to why it seems very silly. You can make great power with fewer rotors, with applications already tried and tested and much more reasonable.

You have to walk before you run, and asking as a 17 year old just gives everyone the immediate impression that you have yet to walk...if you're following...

...which Is why I suggest you get a ride in a heavily modified 13b or 20b first. (I know they're hard to find but if you get involved enough in the rotary club and love rotaries enough to attend enough events upon your research, you will no doubt)

Thanks for taking some of the sting out of it all. I want you to know, however, that I'm not going to get the FD and immediately go 4 rotor on it. I plan on actually modifying it with the 2 rotor and work my way up, staging everything. This way I won't start with something as complicated as the 4 rotor and go blow it up. (Or worse! Wreck it! ::shudder:) Thanks for all of the help though guys.

Now that's pre-planning. You are one lucky 17yr old to have an RX8 and have enough family? money to plan a 4 rotor car.

Good luck with that, btw.

you can buy a 3 rotor e-shaft from a place called precision engineering based in auckland new zealand and the guy to talk to is jeff

he makes them and sends them to australia and usa

ph 0064 09 4153264

just say brendan from no camz motorsport passed you on to him

he also makes a 4 rotor e-shaft as well, along with a stat gear modification and through bolts to use standard centre plates

hope this is of some help

Theres a couple of n/a quad rotors in NZ. ^These guys will be able to tell you what you need to know, or put you in touch with those who can.

Good luck.

Roger Mandeville at Mandeville Autotech in SC has a few 4 rotors in his warehouse. If you are serious about doing this... he would be the best person to contact about info on it.
