What length belt do you need FikseRxSeven? I have an extra 29.5 inch 5-rib belt at home that I was trying to sell on the other forum if that size works.

its 31.5 inches with the alternator all the way up.. so its a streched belt. would 29.5 work? with the alternator all the way down? its about an inch and a half difference as far as the highest and lowest setting.

31.5 - 29.5 = 2 inches

You'd be pushing it getting a 29.5 belt man. You cant find a 30.5 ? that would be the best bet it seems, maybe even a 30

well not necessarily joe...

i was thinking since the whole alternator assembly moves down it gives a smaller circumferance for the belt that might be greater than the adjustment screw from lowest to the highest position.

my concern is... since the alternator pulley is actually closer to the fulcrum than the adjustment screw. so a 1.5in adjustment on the screw could be .75in at the pulley.

im not saying you're wrong, cuz you're probably right, but there are other things to look at i guess

true, if the drop is a circular drop it would be more than just a straight down inch measurment. Try the belt out it wouldn't hurt, but jio does have the correct fitment one right ?

how far are you from queens? we can just try it to see if it fits, i dont mind comin out. also, if you are looking for a 30 inch, autozone sells one in 4-rib size. thats what i used for my water pump pulley/no air pump setup but after stretching out after 100 miles or so i might scrap it and use a 29.5 inch since im at the top of the pulley adjuster already.

Also Martin did u check u out Rx7.com website they have that belt, I don't think it's 4 rib, I think it's a five rib but very short.
