The Audi might break less often but when it does it will cost you. German cars are notorious for expensive parts.

The FD will cost you more in the long run, bottom line.

i keep all of the Mazda parts dealers on speed dial on my phone.

When i call up the Mazda parts counter to order engine parts... they just ask " order the usual for you, Mr. Ward?"

I've had worse luck with Engines than Gen. Custer.

I can rebuild the engines myself, and keep a ton of parts on hand, i have a very generous budget also. This is not a car for a limited budget young person that is trying to have a decent car. They are evil cars that are incredible when they are running right, which is often for some.... and very rare for others. You can roll the dice and see if you are lucky, but it may leave you really hating the car you bought. I finally sold my other FD and threatened to sell the grey one.

Worse luck then Gen. Custer

Shannon is dead on though, this car can be stupid expensive. And if you dont take meticulous care of it, it'll make you pay.....ALOT

In a nutshell , what things mostly go wrong, besides lost pressure from vac lines and bad lines?

you gotta be ******* crazy to consider a 1.8t or a RX7. Im thinking of selling my FD for a S4 and I didn't want to make the performance sacrifice, a 1.8t is like a ****** box on wheels that runs 16s in the 1320.
