I was going to try and stick 345 BFG's on the car, but I'm just going to go with 315 x 15 BFG's instead... so I need 9.5 or 10J x 15 wheels now..

13.4 in of sticky rubber with a decent size side wall that will flex a little and help it hook up a little better and should drop a few .10ths off of my 60ft time..

Or it'll find the next week link in my drivetrain... :bigok:

31x11.50x15 MT ET streets or

31x12.50x15 MT ET streets

If you want to drop your times and stay DOT approved, ET streets are the way to go. They will fit on a 15x8 - 15x10 I believe, smaller contact patch but much stickier tires and alot more sidewall flex.

They won't let us run the ET Street tires in street tire class here... They drop you in to outlaw class with them and you have to run with the guy running slicks.. It sucks ***, but eh..

so does anyone got a back spacing size for me with 15 x 8 or 9 J wheels yet? I'm thinking a 8 J with a 5 1/2" back spacing will work or a 9J with a 6", but I don't want to fork over $650 + $50 on shipping for 2 wheels I can't use.. I'm also concerened with caliper clearance as well.. I'm planning on running these wheels on the rear but I'd like to hear from sombody who has done it before..

They are super light weight at around 11lbs each and that = more power to the ground..

There are no good tires in the 16" size and I would like to keep as much side wall on the tire as possible to absord tork shock.. RX-7.com and others are running 15's and I've e-mailed them, but it must be some kind of secret as to what size they are putting on the car because they will e-mail me back saying "ya, we've run 315's before. It's difficult because the tire will touch the out side lip or rub on the draglink if you have the wrong offset" and that's it.. lol.. I asked for a rim size with what offset and they just tell me what I already know..

Maybe try guys like Marcus Williams, or Ray Wilson(PFS) they would know.

I know Ray had some wheels like that on his car.

i think, and i repeat, i think, that an offset of no GREATER than +40 would be ok. you do not want to get into the deeper ones, because of course, the wheel is set deeper...

I wouldn't have the slightest on what to tell you about offset and clearancing issues, but make sure to send some pictures my way if, and when, you get those wheels and tires mounted. They will look intimidating to say the least. Good luck.
