what are the rx8 plugs ? 9s
|
I get mine from advanced auto, they always have 9's in stock.
BTW when you go to the store, make sure they are the zinc colored ones. They are the more expensive of the two part numbers that they will pull up. They are better then the silver ones. btw it isnt hard to pull a plug and see if they are fouled https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
rx8's have 6, 7, and 9. different plug design than the fc/fd stuff, the rx8 plugs look like race plugs, but come in a "normal" heat range |
Buy the NGK 9s.. non platinum. For all 4.
What i run.. better heat range, not as expensive.. platinum is worthless on our cars. Fouls easier. |
Four NGK 9's non-platinum are what I ended up buying. The plugs I removed were not fouled, but were pretty beat up. The electrode surface was about 1/3 black and 2/3 tan, so it looks like she's running pretty well. The side electrodes were eroded slightly, especially on the #2 trailing. After I installed the new plugs, she starts easier and the idle after startup smooths out and quiets down way faster.. inside of 5 minutes, as opposed to 10+ on the old plugs.

With my setup being near-stock, I prefer to run stock 7's and 9's as the car was made to run.
Non-seq, down-pipe, catback, intakes... Not near enough to make it necesary to run all 9's. |
