Well, lately the FD has been running a little funny.
First of all, it's running a PFS Purple box with a Profec. Tuned REAL rich (11:1 afr @ 12 lbs @ sea level, I'm at 5200 ft.) So I think the plugs are getting used and abused. The 3k hesitation is there, but that I'm feeling is more of a miss at all RPM, crusing speed. What I noticed is that when I'm really on the throttle, it screams, but when I'm at one RPM, or with light-throttle application, I'm getting a bit of hesitation. This happened all of a sudden, so I assume it's from the plugs going bad. It hasn't gotten any worse, and my AFR's still peg out 10:1 on the narrow-band meter. Between my walbro pump, the reman engine and the PFS box, I doubt it's fuel. Does this sound like a plug problem? The last time they were replaced was nearly 20,000 miles ago. |
In the time that you spent typing that you could have just changed the plugs and found out if it helped. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png

Bah, I clicked on this thinking he was shopping for hair implants..........

Thanks for the help fuckers. Can someone at least point me to a source for plugs? Also are those HKS iridium deals any good?
|
Stop at a dealership on the way home. Your problem is likely more about fouling the plugs over time, so why pay extra?
|
Stealership! Ugh! What about NGK's from Vato-zone?
|
I've never found anyone other than the dealer that stocked rotary plugs. Maybe it's different in your area.
I did have a shop order me in plugs, had to buy ten and they all had to be the same. Price per plug ended up being about the same. |
Dizzo'h!
|
I called my local Advance Auto parts and they have 14 NGK trailings and 10 NGK leadings in stock at $5.48 ea.
