I went non sequential when I rebuilt my engine and have not seen steady boost since then. Had the stock pill in the line to the wastegate and would hit 15 psi's but at higher rpms this would drop to 12 or 13. Have no cats and have an intake and intercooler. Any Ideas? |
I would guess it might be a loose intercooler coupler.

gone over them all so many times, just got done puting a boost controler like in robinettes site and no matter where I adjust the boost to it drops a couple of psis in the higher rpms, do you think it could be the wastegate vs precontrol solenoid use the "Ricki" site said either one could work and I don't remember which I used.

Ryan (rikki) claims to have been better off eliminating the Pre control.
If you want them switch them around and try elimintaing the one that you currently have hooked up. Also did you remember to wire the flapper door on the TCA all the way forward? |
The poor mans non sequential.
Step 1. Remove the turbo control actuator (TCA) and plug the lines with some bolts and zip ties. Step 2. Wire the TCA flapper door open (towards the front of the car) Step3. "T" the blow off and charge relief valve lvacum lines together, plug the remaining vacum line that runs from the charge relief valve to the lower intake manifold Step4. Remove the two vacum lines to the charge control valve and plug the remaining vacum lines. (one from the y pipe to the charge control valve & one from the LIM to the charge control valve) Step5. Remove the black plastic pressure tank & plug the remaining vacum lines to the precontrol solinoid. You should have a total of seven vacum lines plugged Two off the LIM, one off the "Y" pipe, two off the hardpipe and two from the TCA (turbo control actuator) -Dave |
