https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif im woundering about that because, the chip has to be soldered in and it mods the ecu (you all know that) and then i would be tricking it into doing something else with the S-AFC II (you all know that too) and i dont know if that would make sense to do that... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png Would i just be throwing my money away https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif or would it be a wise investment https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif .

You would be basically using the SAFC to fine tune your car. The chips do a really nice job on giving your car a nice fuel and ignition curve, but every car is different and may want a little extra fuel somewhere, or some taken out.
You should save your money if you dont have the SAFC yet, becuase your about ready to dish out $500 for the both of them, you should just buy a greddy e-managment for that price and its completly adjustable. And I think you can do ignition adjustments also. |
just get the safc and a fcd

can you get those on ebay
|
could the safc be used to program the emanage or would i have to use something else... if so then what?
|
The emanage is the closest thing you can get to a standalone system. It is a piggyback that can adjust all your fuel and I think that it does ignition also. You program it with a laptop.
|
so with the emanage i dont have to put it fuel maps and all that stuff do i. i just hookup to it and program it with my laptop
|
You do have to do fuel maps, just like you would with a SAFC, its just that you would progam it with a laptop.
I would suggest that you just go with a SAFC. They work really well. Plus, it syas you have a NA RX. Why do you even need a chip on a NA? Just go with a SAFC. |
i just want to get as much as i can out of my ecu without going with a stand alone so i figured the jetchip would be best cause i thought the safc would do the same thing to the ecu with a jet chip. and since the jet chip is reprogramed for a better f/a ratio and then i use the safc on it so i can get more out of the ecu.
