ignition or clutch swithces..

nah, shouldnt be the clutch switch, my 86 starts w/o the clutch in. not sure bout the 87's though, if it does have one, just jump the switch and see what happens (use something simple like a paperclip) or get out that meter again and test it (both when the switch is open and closed)

are your gauges working? if not it might be the starter sillonoid (sp?). and have you tried jumping the starter with a screw driver to see if it'll work that way?



I'm trying to eliminate things one at a time here, if you jump the starter and it works then the power wires there are good and you're looking more towards the ignition switch... if the starter wont jump then you're looking less at the switch and more at the power wires or the starter...
