Wont Idle When Hot
HELP!!!!!! I cant get my 2nd gen to idle when it is hot
. It's an 88 t2. it sat for about 3 years. I did a tune up and cleaned the bac valve (bac did not help)
. I have looked on the board about other problems and fixed those from that.
has good comp on both rotors
...... please help me. could it be the TPS?????? it also floods when hot but i figured that was the injectors. everything is still stock. Thsnks
What's the cold idle speed? Can you get it to idle at all? You could just turn in the set screw for the throttle stop
It is a little set screw that holds open the throttle body. On the T2 it is at the firewall side of the TB.

i had a similar problem with my 1990 NA when its warm. everytime i push in the clutch at a stop the car drops to about 300rpm, almost dies, then recovers but idles really erattically. try making a tps test light and adjusting the tps (look in the faq section). if you get it just right it should idle normally.
