i just recently purchased an air/fuel ratio gauge for cheep. it's a apc (yeah, that cheep). only question is how the hell do i wire this up? a buddy of mine mentioned wiring it up to my o2 sensor. i just want to get some peoples views on what to do. if you need a pic on the gauge let me know and i'll post one up for you.

thanks

How many wires does it have? As I recall, mine had a red (+12v), a black (ground) and a green (needs to go to the O2 sensor, or tap in at the ecu where the O2 wire goes). I just ran a wire through the firewall and tied in where the O2 sensor plugs into the harness.

well, i just tried taking a picture of the unit and the batteries on my digital camera just died. so i'm kinda sol on that aspect. but i'll try to explain it as best i can. actually 88red pretty much laid it out right for me. anyway, i got 5 wires coming out the back, black(-), white(+), and green(signal wire). then i got 2 that hook up to the inverter (which i'm debating on wether or not to hook it up). anyway, where do i hook the signal wire up? i know you've said ecu and o2 but what wire would it be? and also, what would be the best choice for my power supply? i was thinking the clock since it's right above where i want to put this.

Location---

i'd prefer to put this in the a/c vent above the radio. i looked around and couldnt find a single pod cluster. i saw a cluster online that was metal and went in the a/c vent (which gave me the idea in the first place). well, aside from that i went out looking for a sheet of plastic but couldn't find one. i found a 8x10 piece of plexie glass at home depot and i'm planing on fabbing that up to suit my need. pretty much i'm gonna make it to hold the single gauge in the middle and have the air vents on the side.

if anyone has any imput or ideas on what to do let me know. but the most important thing is wiring this all up. i need to find a power supply that'll only be on when the car is running and which wire to hook the signal wire up to.

thanks for the help

that's exactly what i was gonna get but i couldn't justify spending the $35 on it plus i only have one gauge and don't need another one. i'm gonna make mine out of plexi glass, i think it'll look pretty good... i hope.
