Why Wont My Rx7 Start?

my car wont start!!! help please.





my friend becca had an 88 and when her rx didnt start they told her that there was a little cylinder that needed to be one part water to three parts anti-freeze...? or visa-versa. and she tried it and it started right up. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Umm...sounds like the cold start assist tank. That won't help much really even if its below zero where you are.



We need to hear more about how exactly its not starting to give a diagnosis though.

when i try and start it, it turns over and wants to run but it wont.... its a new battery.

Might be flooded. Try pulling both EGI fuses, flooring the accelerator, and turning the engine over a few times with the starter.

This should help blow excess fuel out and hopefully you can get it started.





If not, you'll have to pull the spark plugs to dry them, and inject a small amount of engine oil in the spark plug holes for each rotor as the excess fuel will have washed the oil off the side of the housing.

yes, you flooded it for sure.

Once the car doesnt start RIGHT AWAY, you end up flooding it.
