ok when my rx-7 88 gxl n/a is idling you can hear a faint whislte noise,i know i have a minor exhaust leak but its not coming from the exhaust im scared something worse is wrong with it,and i have no clue as what it could be you cant really only hear it when you are inside the car,thanks for the answers

Ya know...my NA motor did the same thing...then I found out it was my throwout bearing sticking...lol, doubt thats what it is for you..but who knows.

 

yeah i know i need a new throw out bearing cause when its idling in neutral i can hear it when i let off the clutch doesnt sound to pleasing but hey that might just be the problem,i also hear like a faint ticking noise iside the car and i think it may be the speedometer cable in gonna replace it for the hell of it thanks for the help
